Projeto Gráfico e desenvolvimento de capa para experimentação Editorial. O livro selecionado faz parte de uma coletânia de escritos filosóficos de Iohanne Eckhart, obra vinda do período medieval (1335), pertencente a 10 volumes. Nesses textos, ele oferece interpretações da Bíblia pouco convencionais à época.
Condenado por heresia pela Igreja, ele faleceu antes de ser sentenciado. Nesse projeto foi trabalhado o primeiro volume que traz reflexões acerca do livro bíblico de Géneses.

Esse modelo foi feito artesanalmente como forma de exercitar a percepção estética para desenvolvimento de capas pensando diretamente nos meios de produção que haviam disponíveis.

Graphic design and cover development for Editorial experimentation. The selected book is part of a collection of philosophical writings by Iohanne Eckhart, a work from the medieval period (1335), belonging to 10 volumes. In these texts, he offers unconventional interpretations of the Bible at the time. Convicted of heresy by the Church, he died before being sentenced. This project worked on the first volume that brings reflections on the biblical book of Genesis.

This model was made by hand as a way of exercising aesthetic perception for the development of covers thinking directly about the means of production that were available.

Mestre Eckhart (Iohannes Eckhart) é um filósofo e místico alemão medieval. Ele pertenceu à ordem dos dominicanos ou Ordem dos Pregadores, uma Ordem, até hoje marcada pela atividade intelectual, pela distinção entre erro e verdade na clareza do pensamento racional e através das escrituras. As cores usadas no brasão são o preto e o branco.
A tipografia escolhida para compor o projeto permeia características modernas e traz intervenções em seus detalhes que remetem a decorações feitas em caligrafias góticas do século XIV. As informações de capa foram diagramadas no dorço do livro como forma de evidenciar o seu volume (um total de 693 páginas). A ilustração utilizada para a capa foi retirada de uma bíblia de 1873 dedicada a jovens que ficou famosa por sua riqueza artística na representação de cenários e narrativas cristãs; a gravura chama-se "O dilúvio", acontecimento encontrado no livro de Gêneses.

Master Eckhart (Iohannes Eckhart) is a medieval German philosopher and mystic. He belonged to the order of the Dominicans or Order of Preachers, an Order, still marked by intellectual activity, by the distinction between error and truth in the clarity of rational thought and through the scriptures. The colors used in the coat of arms are black and white.
The typography chosen to compose the project permeates modern features and brings interventions in its details that refer to decorations made in Gothic calligraphies of the 14th century. The cover information was diagrammed on the back of the book as a way to highlight its volume (a total of 693 pages). The illustration used for the cover was taken from an 1873 bible dedicated to young people who became famous for their artistic wealth in representing Christian scenarios and narratives; the engraving is called "The Flood", an event found in the book of Genesis.
